Paulo K. Tiról is a liturgical composer, lyricist and arranger, originally from Manila, Philippines and now residing in Secaucus, New Jersey. His composition “Still We Sing Alleluia” was named the 2021 Song of the Year by the Association of Catholic Publishers. In 2006, his composition “Pieta: Oyayi sa Paanan ng Krus” (Pieta: Lullaby at the Foot of the Cross), recorded in Hangad’s The Easter Journey, won Best Religious / Inspirational Song in the Awit Awards, the Philippines’ highest award for recorded music. He also has an MFA in musical theatre writing from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and his musical theatre work has been developed and performed in New York City, upstate New York, Los Angeles and Minneapolis. His liturgical compositions include “Wonderfully Made” and “One Thing I Ask.”
