Bio
Father Juan J. Sosa is a priest, Catholic liturgical composer and author. Born in Havana, Cuba, he was one of the first Cuban priests ordained for the Archdiocese of Miami in Florida. He serves as president of the National Hispanic Institute for Liturgy and an advisor to the U.S. bishops’ Committee on Divine Worship. In addition to serving as pastor of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Miami, Father Sosa is also an adjunct professor at both Florida seminaries. His music has found its way into the liturgical repertoire of multicultural parishes throughout the country, with compositions including “Salve,” “Dios, Te Salve” and “Madre de la Iglesia.”
