Bio

John Greally is a self-taught composer of instrumental and choral music based in Wales. Born in Belfast in 1934, he worked as a journalist for several newspapers in England, Wales and the Irish Republic. His music for the Church includes Latin anthems and Christmas carols. Greally’s piano sonata has been aired several times by the BBC, and his concerto has drawn praise from violinist and conductor, Yehudi Menuhin. His well-known compositions include “Wondrous Calm.”
