Bio
Edward Eicker is an award-winning composer, conductor, organist and educator based in Des Plaines, Illinois. Especially known for his choral and instrumental works, Eicker has received numerous awards, commissions and honors. In 2006, his work for strings, A Heartland Journey won the 2006 Knox-Galesburg Symphony’s annual call for scores and received its premiere under the direction of Dr. Bruce Polay. His choral work In Paradisum was a finalist in the 2007 “Outside the Bachs” Choral Composition Contest sponsored by First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth. In 2012, Eicker’s brief film score was one of 12 winners at The Indie Gathering International Film Scoring Competition. Since 2009, Eicker has served as Music Director at St. Paul of the Cross Church in Park Ridge, Illinois.
