Damaris Thillet is a nationally recognized composer, musician, recording artist and clinician known for incorporating the unique musical styles and rhythms of Puerto Rico in her liturgical music. Originally from Ponce, Puerto Rico, she is director of the Office of Worship in the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, New Mexico, as well as president and co-founder of the Asociación de Músicos Pastorales Hispanos del Este (AMPHE). She previously served in music ministry with her late husband and frequent collaborator, Diego Correa, in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the Diocese of Camden, New Jersey. She was part of the team that developed the songs accompanying the new Roman Missal in Spanish for the United States. Her compositions include “Nada Podrá Apartarnos de Tu Amor,” “Que Toda la Tierra Cante” and the Misa San Juan Bautista.
